Ross-on-Wye is a charming market town overlooking the River Wye and close to the Forest of Dean, while Ledbury also has a number of mediaeval buildings and lies close to the Malvern Hills. Hereford itself is a cathedral city situated on the River Wye and is home to the 13th century Mappa Mundi.
